Meet Josh! His friends often call him “Mags”. A true Wisconsin transplant, Josh decided to set his roots in Kenosha because he loves the unique history, character, and charm the City has to offer.

In Josh's 7+ years in the Kenosha community, he has seen a need for stronger local leadership. Josh believes we need a voice in the Common Council that will listen to you and advocate for your wants and needs, big and small.

Josh is not a politician by trade, and believes that public office can and should be held by neighbors like you and me. We are the community, and we should represent it together.

Josh, like many, has experienced the worst of Kenosha roads with cracking, crumbling, and uneven surfaces. Such conditions have caused thousands of dollars in car repairs for Josh and many others in 2025 alone.

Drawing on his expertise in engineering and geographic information systems, Josh promises to promote quality roads and transportation routes that support daily life and improve the standard of living for everyone. Making it easier for everyone to access childcare, work, school, Community Centers, entertainment, places of worship, and nature.

Utilizing years of experience in the arts industry, Josh will help lead the creation of more accessible spaces for artists and connect arts organizations to grow Kenosha’s creative economy. Ultimately, empowering artists, attracting new talent, creating new jobs, boosting tourism, and ensuring that creativity elevates our entire community for generations to come.

We all know what a missed opportunity looks like when parks are neglected and go underutilized; we all lose. Josh will lean on his experience in urban site design to ensure our parks enrich lives.

Josh will advocate for creating safe, modern, and attractive parks that can serve the entire community and improve quality of life. There is untapped potential for our parks to have improved surfaces, facilities, and play areas that support diverse community programs and events.

I believe a prosperous community begins with uplifting every voice in the neighborhood, especially those that have too often been ignored or overlooked. When people feel heard and respected, they are more willing to engage, collaborate, and invest in their community. I will uplift those voices by listening first, showing up consistently, and creating spaces where neighbors feel safe, can share their ideas or concerns, and may celebrate the beauty, history, and culture of our great city. As Alderperson, I will work alongside neighbors, small businesses, artists, educators, and community organizations so decisions reflect real lived experiences. When government listens with empathy and communicates clearly, it earns trust—and that trust is what allows a community to move forward together.
